SASSA R370 grants Approved with no payments dates: solutions for April 2024

The South African Social Security Agency has finally addressed the payments issues for Social Relief of Distress grant R370.

The South African Social Security Agency, is take care of millions of jobless South African without source of income. Recently they have published an article which provide solution to clients with no payments dates.

Article Key point:

  • The agency calls for approved clients to go and update their payments details by adding their banking information.
  • Its important for clients to have the banking details under their name as SASSA users various verification methods to determine if clients qualifies or not.

SASSA Solution:

  1. If you requested SASSA to open a Postbank account for you, SASSA is unfortunately not in a position to do this anymore. It is
    recommended that you either open an account with Postbank yourself and provide SASSA with your Postbank banking details, or open an account with a different bank and provide SASSA with the details to ensure payment.
  2. If you have not provided SASSA with any banking details at all, please do so without delay by updating your bank details on the SASSA SRD website at srd.sassa.gov.za

2024 Qualifying requirements:

  • Clients needs to be unemployed.
  • Be a South African citizen between the age of 18-60 years and have no source of income.
  • Clients should be not receiving money that more than the test mean income.
Who doesn’t qualify
  • Nsfas clients do not qualify.
  • People who are working will not be considered as the SRD Grant is for only unemployed individuals.
  • Any one who receive money on their bank accounts which’s more than R624 test of income.
  • None South African citizen
What to do if your application was declined

Applicants who think SASSA made a mistake with their application status should visit the SRD website to apply for an Appeal.

In the appeal you need to state why you think SASSA made a mistake, its important to note that it my take more than 3-7 days or more to get a respond.
