Lydia Mokgoloshi famously known as koko Mantsha was born on the 27 September 1939.She was born  and raised in a small village called Botlokwa in Limpopo.Mokgoloshifinished school ,went to tertiary level and studied to be and educator.

In 1964 she started working at her home school and after 10 years she relocated to Soweto .That’s where she taught until she retired.

Mokgoloshi started her acting career in the early 1980s that is when her face started showing up on Skeem Sam screens.This telenovela is one of the most watched telenovelas in South Africa.

She was given a role of being a mother to Charity Ramabu and a grandmother to Katlego and Joseph.Fans fell in love with her character on the show.

She won three awards in the course of her acting career.She received her first award in 2017.Skeem Sam released a statement earlier on  this week that Lydia Mokgoloshi has passed on .This left a lot of fans confused because there were no signs that she was sick.She had 1 child .The family has not yet confirmed the death.
